When you are considering becoming a holiday home owner there are usually lots of questions you need answering before making your decision. Quite often there are even more questions that you forget to ask.
In order for you to make your decision, we have listed the most frequently asked questions regarding the park.
Q) How much are your site fees?
A) For 2008 the Site fees have been set at £2193.00 for 7½ months and £2588.00 for 10½ months.
Q) How long is your season?
A) The season begins on 21st of March and ends on 30th October taking you through spring and summer, into autumn. Next year we are going 10½ months for the owners that want it. The season will run from March to January.
Q) Can we bring our pet dog with us to our holiday home?
A) Provided your dog is kept on a lead in the park and is not a nuisance to other owners, it is very welcome.
Q) Do we have to pay our rates separately?
A) No. Unlike some parks, water rates are included in our annual site fees along with such things as TV Licence and Club Membership for the couple owning the holiday home.
Q) What other costs are there each year that we need to budget for?
A) Along with Gas and Electricity which on average costs between £120 - £150 per year, you are required to insure your caravan and we can offer our Park Insurance Policy at an average cost of only £170.00 per year. YOU MAY ALSO INSURE ELSEWHERE SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS. We also carry out a compulsory annual safety inspection on Gas fittings and Electric appliance within your holiday home in line with our Health and safety Policy. You will receive an annual invoice for £47.00 following each of these inspections.
Q) Can we let our holiday home?
A) There are two ways to let your holiday home. The first way is by following Palins to act as your agents and take bookings for you with the park taking a fee out of the gross lettings at the end of the season. Secondly you can purchase a letting licence from the park and handle the letting yourself.
Q) How much do your caravans start from?
A) Our range of holiday homes start from £5,995.00 for a 2 bedroom pre owned model subject to availability and new models from £14,995.00
Q) Do you offer finance facilities on holiday homes?
A) Palins Holiday Park are a licensed credit broker and therefore can offer various finance packages on new and pre owned holiday homes dependant on the age of the caravan.
Q) We own a caravan on another park, can we bring it here?
A) Unfortunately due to limited number of plots available we are unable to accept move on’s, however, we do offer excellent part exchange deals on our new and pre owned range of holiday homes.
