Conditions of Booking
Payment
A minimum deposit of fifty pounds (£50.00) per caravan per week is required. The balance is to be paid 28 days prior to your holiday dates. All cheques to be made payable to Palins Holiday Park. If booking within 7 days of your holiday date, payment must be made in full — cash or credit card only.
Cancellation Plan
The charge is twelve pounds (£12.00) per week booked to be included with your deposit. If you have taken out our cancellation plan, cancellation due to circumstances such as illness or accident will be covered in most cases. cancellation charges are calculated as follows from the date your written cancellation is received:
- 60 days or more – deposit and £12.00 cancellation plan fee
- 40 – 59 days – 40% and £12.00 cancellation plan fee
- 25 – 39 days – 50% and £12.00 cancellation plan fee
- 8 – 24 days – 90% and £12.00 cancellation plan fee
- 7 days or less – 100% £12.00 cancellation plan fee
Limitation Of Liability
We accept responsibility of those arrangements for your holiday which are within our control, but we cannot accept liability for any injury loss or damage suffered by you or any member of your party, unless one of the following applies:
- There was a wilful default by us, our employees or agents, or;
- Death or personal injury was caused by the negligence of Palins Holiday Park, our employees or agents
No action can be taken in respect of any complaint not bought to the attention of the Manager.
Dogs
You are welcome to bring your dog with you on holiday in selected Bronze and Silver units. There will be a fee of thirty pounds (£30.00) per dog per week booked to be included in your deposit. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the caravan at any given time. We would ask you to bring your dogs basket or bedding and do not allow your dog on the seating or bedding of your caravan. In the interest of hygiene please ensure that your dog is cleaned up after at all times and does not cause a nuisance to other holidaymakers. Failure to do so will result in termination of your holiday. For more information regarding our dog policy please contact reception.
The Park Layout
The park may be unfamiliar to you, we suggest you acquaint yourself with the park as soon as you arrive. You need to take care when walking over grassy and often undulating ground, as they may contain obstacles you need to avoid. There is street lighting on the park, this is kept to a minimum light so that it doesn’t disturb children’s sleep at night. Please take care when walking around the park especially at night, we recommend carrying a torch to assist you and to avoid any holiday accidents.
Key Deposit
A deposit of forty pounds( £40.00) is payable on arrival. A holding deposit will be placed on your card and refunded within 10 days of your stay as long as no problems found. If you wish to pay by cash please speak to reception. The key deposit is also for any damages or breakages that may occur in the caravan and any evidence of smoking within the caravan..
Your health, safety and park rules
By booking a holiday at Palins, you are agreeing to conform with and accept the park rules, a copy of which can be obtained from reception. Palins reserve the right to require you and any members of your party to leave the park where there is a breach of the park rules, no compensation will be given.
Smoking Policy
As a result of government legislation, it is now illegal to smoke within enclosed public buildings. We ask holiday makers to respect these regulations. All holiday accommodation is strictly no smoking and any trace or smell of smoke will result in the loss of your deposit. Please note, we cannot guarantee that the accommodation has been smoking free.
Personal possessions
You and your party are responsible for the safekeeping of any personal possessions in the accommodation and on the park. You are also responsible for the safety of any electrical items that you bring with you on your holiday.
Selling alcohol
In accordance with the UK licensing laws, we can only sell alcohol to people over the age of 18 years. We may require you to show ID to prove your age.
Your holiday home
Only those people listed on the booking can occupy your accommodation and use the facilities of the park and the accommodation must not exceed the maximum capacity stated. If this legal requirement is not met, your booking will be terminated and you will be asked to leave, with no refund made.
Unacceptable behaviour
For the convenience of our guests, we reserve the right to terminate the party’s holiday without compensation, where the unreasonable or criminal behaviour of the persons in the holiday party or guests of the party, might impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests, our team members or staff.
Infectious or contagious diseases
Infectious or contagious diseases could easily be passed to other guests while on holiday. You must inform the manager should you or any member of your party contract any such illness while on holiday. In order to protect our guests and staff, anyone found to have such a condition may be confined or requested to leave the park. Please note that in such circumstances we are unable to offer refunds and we therefore recommend you take out insurance.
Booking Procedure
Once you have chosen the type of caravan you require, please fill in the booking form. Remember to include all members of your party and your full postal address. Your caravan will become available for your occupation on the date of your arrival at 2.00pm for Gold Caravans, 3.00 pm for Silver Caravans and 4.00pm for Bronze caravans. In busy periods these times may vary and possibly be slightly later. Any special requirements such as wheelchairs, ramps etc, must be requested at the time of booking. Should the situation arise we may need to relocate your caravan, however it will be of the same grading.
Late Arrivals
Persons expecting to arrive after 5pm must inform reception, on the date of arrival, by telephone or in writing, to arrange collection of keys. Failure to inform the reception of any delays may result in the accommodation being re-let and a call out charge incurred.
Fun Pool
Please note there is an entrance charge to the Fun Pool of £3 daily for Short Break holidays. Children under 4 years of age are free of charge. Unless free passes are given. Passes are purchased from reception. Under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult. Offsite visitors pay £4.95 per day per person or £20 per week per person.
Club
Membership for the Club is Free of Charge
Singles
Sorry we do not accept bookings from all male or all female parties.
Checking Out Procedure
On departure please remove all rubbish, lock up your unit and hand your keys in at reception. We no longer check your unit on depatue unless key deposit paid via cash. Checking out times are as follows, Gold caravans are at 9.30am, Silver caravans at 10.00am and Bronze caravans at 10.30am.
